ÐLopez,€testified€that€he€had€been€telling€his€brother€that€smokingÐ ° Ðwas€harmful€since€about€1970.€€Demetrio€said€he€did€not€know€hisÐ \¬ Ðbrother's€perception€of€the€health€risks€of€smoking,€noting,€"[t]heÐ X Ðthing€is€that€he€would€not€pay€any€attention€to€anybody,€so€it€justÐ ´  Ðdidn't€matter€to€him."Ð ` ° Ðà  àGarca's€wife,€Virginia€Prado€Alvarez,€testified€that,€in€MayÐ  \  Ð2002,€her€husband€stopped€smoking€because€the€price€of€cigarettesÐ ¸  Ðincreased,׃×Ý ƒ#ÃÝòòÚ  Ú1Ú  ÚóóÝ  Ý×  ×€and€he€could€no€longer€afford€to€buy€them.€€He€becameÐ d´  Ðbedridden,€and,€according€to€his€wife,€"[h]e€was€feeling€very€sickÐ `  Ðbecause€he€wasn't€smoking."€€He€was€experiencing€both€abdominalÐ ¼  Ðpain€and€a€dry€cough,€and€medical€tests€ultimately€revealed€a€rightÐ h¸ Ðupper€lung€mass€that€was€diagnosed€as€inoperable€cancer.€€HeÐ d Ðdeteriorated€rapidly€and€died€in€October€2002€at€the€age€of€68.Ð À Ðà  àAppellants€filed€suit€in€June€2003,€claiming€that€Garca'sÐ l¼ Ðillness€and€death€were€caused€by€his€smoking€Winston€cigarettes,Ð h Ðwhich€are€manufactured€by€appellee€R.J.€Reynolds.€€They€allegedÐ Ä
