Judge Dunlap was appointed to the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in November 2025. He graduated with a bachelor of arts, summa cum laude, from Pensacola Christian College in 2005 and earned his juris doctor, summa cum laude, from Notre Dame Law School in 2008. Following graduation from law school, Judge Dunlap clerked for Judge Paul J.
